John's Muzzleloading BUCK - 09

Wednesday, December 2nd...5:07pm
John shot the trophy deer of his life.
10 Points - 20 inch inside spread
I don't think I've heard him that excited on the phone....EVER.
Patience and persistence paid off!
The last "trophy" he shot was when we were engaged...
which was in fall of 2004 (bowhunting).

I don't think I've ever left the house so fast...had to get to the
Harder's (John's parents) before we all left to go help John haul
it back to thethe hunting shack. It was a beautiful evening...
...and for some odd reason John had NO problem minding
taking pictures...This will be a great story to tell the baby one day!
Baby Shim was in training on this one...

John and his dad Steve - relishing the moment.

Adam (John's brother, John and Steve
Obviously Steve has taught his boys well! Not even
a month ago, Steve shot a "trophy" during rifle
season...and Adam shot a nice buck as well.
What a yearfor the Harder hunting season!
Way to go guys!
